Best Carpet Cleaning Machine for commercial buildings?
Now we are in a different ballpark with a whole new set of rules.
A good residential carpet cleaner may not be productive and/or cost effective when it comes to commercial building maintenance. Likewise, a good commercial carpet cleaner can easily do irreparable damage to a residential carpet. Most commercial carpets DO NOT have padding below the carpet. Where there is no padding there is less potential for a wet cleaners to lose control of the water. In this arena we concede - that hot extraction, and even shampoo with the old buffers system could possibly win the day. It's about a 50/50 toss up. |
However a common complaint in commercial buildings, and especially restaurants is;

The True Dry system for example:
Also we should take into consideration the life of our carpets- they are held together with water soluble glues, and when we Search YouTube "how to remove water soluble glue" from anything - we are told to use "heat, and/or steam".
Funny that the same people who make our carpets, and make the steam machines to clean them - recommend Hot Steam cleaning? True Dry believes your carpets will last 3x's longer if you avoid steam cleaning. Yes up to three times longer!
NOTE: However, it must be said that many commercial carpets (these days) are more like tile or hard plastics than traditional carpeting. Hot extraction steam cleaning or bonnet cleaning (in these cases) may be the only real solution.

Choosing Commercial Carpet
The choice of these tough plastic-like carpets tiles for commercial use may appear to be a good business choice- but now that we've got the toughest carpet on Planet Earth WHO'S GOING TO CLEAN IT?
I can hear the hot extraction steam cleaner bosting only he can clean these kinds of commercial carpets, and he/she would be right. They would also be the most effective at cleaning concrete and/or removing paint off the side of our buildings too! We believe we are saving money in the long run with expensive plastic titanium carpet - but we force ourselves to use a cleaning method that:
